More Information

Bernese Mountain Dogs

Bernese Mountain Dogs are impressive and gentle giants known for their striking tri-color coat and friendly demeanor. Originating from the Swiss Alps, these dogs were originally bred for their strength and versatility as farm dogs. They are not only loyal companions but also excellent working dogs, excelling in tasks such as cart-pulling and search and rescue. Despite their large size, Bernese Mountain Dogs are gentle and patient, making them fantastic family pets. Their calm and affectionate nature makes them great with children and other animals. While they require regular exercise and grooming due to their thick coat, the love and loyalty they provide to their families make them a beloved breed for many dog enthusiasts.

Training & Socialization

We are passionate about doing everything in our power to facilitate the success of our puppies and their future families. That is why we put in a lot of extra time and effort into training and socializing our puppies before they leave our home.

From day one, we begin using protocols from Puppy Culture and Baxter & Bella as a basis for our training and socialization. Our main focus is on potty training, basic manners such as “sit to say please”, and coming when called. We also include activities that help the puppies respond to new situations calmly and confidently.

Socialization at an early age is extremely important, so we make sure to have our puppies play with lots of different types of people and other dogs. By default, our puppies are played with by our young kids daily which makes them excellent family dogs!

Health, Nutrition, and Supplies

The health of our puppies is very important to us and we make every effort to give them the best start in life. Puppies are started on a deworming schedule to make sure they don’t pick up any parasites. They are kept up to date on vaccinations and are seen by a licensed veterinarian to certify their health. All our puppies are microchipped.

Good nutrition plays a very important role in the well-being of a growing puppy. We start our puppies on Purina Pro Plan (PPP) puppy food when they are ready to begin weaning. We also supplement their diet using NuVet tablets which have a multitude of benefits including boosting immune health and promoting strong joints.
